Professional wrestlers put their bodies on the line for the entertainment of fans day in and day out. Due to this, injuries can happen at any time inside the squared circle. That is exactly what happened to NXT and 205 Live star Odyssey Jones.

On this week’s episode of NXT 2.0, announcers Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett revealed that Odyssey Jones recently underwent surgery for a ruptured patella tendon.

Jones suffered the injury in a match against Saurav Gurjar during the WWE 205 Live tapings held on January 11. The match itself never aired on television because Jones had to be helped to the back after blowing his kneecap.

Odyssey Jones was written off NXT television last week after  Joe Gacy and Harland seemingly beat him down in the trainer’s room. We will have to wait and see when Jones will be able to make his in-ring return.
