Frankie Kazarian enjoyed a fruitful career in the ring, but he didn’t love every idea pitched to him. He played the Suicide character in TNA during a time, but that was not a highlight of his career.
Kazarian of AEW is said to be staying with the company. The former AEW Tag Team Champion has reportedly signed a new contract with All Elite Wrestling, according to PW Insider. The deal’s specifics, however, have yet to be revealed. Kazarian was one of the first AEW stars to sign a contract in 2019, alongside SCU colleagues Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky.
As previously stated, alongside SCU, he was one of the first-ever AEW Tag Team Champions, defeating The Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fénix) in the Tag Team Title eliminator tournament finals. They would hold the title for 83 days before losing it to Hangman Page and Kenny Omega.
Last year, SCU was defeated in their final attempt to reclaim the Tag Titles from The Young Bucks, and they were forced to disband. This would pave the way for Kazarian to take on the role of “The Elite Hunter,” whose single objective was to rip apart The Elite superstar by superstar.
Kazarian was recently seen on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation, where he competed against Lance Archer in a losing effort on the January 19 episode. The word broke over the weekend that a number of AEW contracts are about to expire unless the artist is handed a new contract shortly. Brian Cage, Marko Stunt, Joey Janela, Lio Rush, and others are among those featured.
