AEW Dynamite “Beach Break” Results for January 26, 2022

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. AEW Dynamite “Beach Break” will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

JR welcomes us to the show and Cody Rhodes and Sammy Guevara are already in the ring! Justin Roberts does the official ring introductions.

TNT Championship – Ladder Match: Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara

Cody and Sammy shake hands. Cody mocks Sammy, lock up, Cody gets a head lock, shoulder block, Guevara gets a dropkick. Lock up, Cody powers out, picks the ankle, Guevara pushes Cody into the corner. Cody plays to the crowd. Cody goes for a Tiger Driver, Guevara goes for GTH, evenly matched. Guevara blocks an uppercut, Cody throws Guevara out of the ring. Guevara gets a ladder, Cody intercepts.

Cody throws Guevara into the steel steps. Cody gets an even bigger ladder from the ramp and sets it up against the ring and the barricade. Guevara hits a pump kick and throws Cody into the barricade. Cody and Guevara brawl into the crowd. Cody hits a big lariat, throwing Guevara back into ringside. Guevara hits a cutter off the barricade back into the crowd.

Guevara goes to get another big ladder from the ramp. Back in the ring, Guevara hits Cody with the ladder on the apron. Guevara sets up the ladder and climbs, Cody pulls him down but Guevara throws him face first into the ladder. Guevara climbs again and Cody intercepts, both men collide heads. Scorpio Sky and Dan Lambert are watching from the crowd.

Both men climb the ladder, strikes back and forth, Cody reaches for the belt and hits a delayed vertical suplex off the top of the ladder!

Cody sets up a ladder upside down and front slams Guevara down across the ladders hinges. Cody pushes Guevara’s legs through the rungs of the ladder and locks in a Figure 4! Cody sets up a ladder in the middle, hits a palm strike on Guevara, then chops in the corner. Guevara fires out of the corner with a lariat, step up enziguri, and Cody throws a ladder and Guevara!

Cody climbs the ladder, Guevara climbs a different ladder and springboards off that ladder and hits a flying cutter to Cody! Guevara traps Cody under the rungs of the ladder and then climbs, Cody tips the ladder over and Guevara hits the mat. Cody climbs the ladder, Guevara sets up a smaller ladder next to it, both men trade strikes, Cody hits a CrossRhodes off the top of the ladder!

Cody climbs the ladder, Guevara springs up after him, Cody reaches the belts, both men hang from the belts holder, Guevara falls, then Cody falls. Cody stomps on Guevara on the outside, Cody slams Guevara’s legs into the ladder at ringside. Fuego Del Sol runs down and shouts at Cody. Cody hits a Tiger Driver on Fuego. Guevara flies in and throws Cody out of the ring, Guevara hits a suicide dive to Cody and hits a GTH on the outside!

Guevara gets a ladder from under the ring. Guevara sets up Cody on the ladder bridged on the barricade. Guevara sets up the giant ladder and climbs it. Guevara hits a Swanton Bomb on Cody, the ladder doesn’t move an inch. Guevara gets in the ring and sets up a ladder, Guevara climbs to the belts, Cody climbs the other side, strikes back and forth on the top of the ladder. Guevara hits Cody with the belt and Cody falls to the mat. Guevara pulls down both the TNT Championships!

WINNER: “And New” Undisputed TNT Champion, Sammy Guevara!

Tony Schiavone was with Team Taz at Edgewater Beach. Hobbs says every dog has its day, the win he got was just luck. Stark says he hopes Lethal enjoyed his day off. Next week on Rampage it will be Starks vs. Lethal for the FTW Championship.

Wardlow makes his entrance, accompanied by Shawn Spears. Elijah Dean and James Alexander are already in the ring.

Handicap Match: Wardlow vs. Elijah Dean & James Alexander

Wardlow over powers both men, Powerbomb to Dean, Powerbomb to Alexander, another Powerbomb to each opponent. Then more Powerbombs, Powerbombs one man onto the other, Wardlow covers, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Wardlow!

Spear celebrates with Wardlow.

Judas hits and the Inner Circle make their entrance. Daniel Garcia and 2point0 are already in the ring.

Trios Match: The Inner Circle vs. Daniel Garcia & 2Point0

Jericho and Lee start, Santana tags himself in, Parker tags in Santana takes down Parker. Santana with strikes in the corner, suplex, into the 3 Amigos! Ortiz tags in, suplex, standing moonsault, splash, cover, 2 count. Lee tags in, back elbow, Garcia tags in, kick to the midsection, high knee, kick to the back. Ortiz and Garcia trade strikes, Ortiz with a big lariat. Santana tags in, flapjack, into a double dropkick.

Santana with a big chop, Jericho tags himself in, Ortiz tags himself in. Garcia takes out the knee and 2point0 take out Jericho and Santana.

Double clothesline, Lee tags in Parker, double elbow drop, cover, Santana breaks the count. Ortiz hits a back drop, Parker takes out Santana, Jericho is the last man standing, Ortiz tags in Santana, Santana runs wild, catches Garcia and flattens him. Santana has to fight off all men, double cutter from Santana and Ortiz, powerbomb, discus lariat cover, Garcia breaks the count.

Jericho pulls out Parker, Lee rolls up Santana, Jericho hits the Judas Effect Elbow, Santana hits a piledriver, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: The Inner Circle!

Jericho gives the finger to Santana and Ortiz and leaves up the ramp alone.

Tony Schiavone is with Christian Cage and Jurassic Express and the HFO. Hardy says its time for Private Party to become Tag Team Champions. Jungle Boys says Private Party are wearing fake watches.

CM Punk makes his entrance. Punk is wearing his ring gear. Huge “CM Punk” chants. Punk gets a mic, says its been a minutes since he was here in Cleveland. He is dressed to fight, you know who I want to fight. Makes the crowd chants “MJF.” Unzips his hoodie to reveal MJF’s scarf. He thought maybe he could challenge him to a match, until he realised the scarf is a cheap on Amazon. He is sick of talking about it, he need MJF in this ring. Lets do it tonight. Punk says he knows MJF will come out in a cheap suit with every excuse in the world. He has gone through FTR, Wardlow, Spears, he wants MJF right now. MJF makes his entrance.

MJF walks out in a suit. “You Suck” chants. MJF says they’re dumb, asks if they want to see him wrestle? No! He wouldn’t waste a historic match for Cleveland, this place is disgusting. “Asshole” chants, MJF says he will give them the match next week in Chicago, CM Punk vs… MJF! Its a dream match, they think they want it… “Shut the fuck up” chants, The outcome will be upsetting, not only will MJF win, he will beat him in the midwest, after he wins, you will all see the real CM Punk. The Punk who loses his fake smile, who blames is loses on everyone else, CM “if he doesn’t get his just due, he will sue. Punk. Punk will say he is leaving wrestling again.

MJF says Punk no shows in Chicago when he left in 2014. Says Punk doesn’t give a damn about us. Punk will turn his back on us again then cry about it on a podcast. Punk says MJF listened to that podcast because he is a fan. Punk says the best thing he ever did was leave and then come back. Punk knows MJF cant beat him. Punk says he has never lied to the people, some love him, some hate him, but he would rather try and fail than never show up like MJF.

Punk says they don’t love him because he wins, they love him because he gets back up, tries and fights just like Cleveland does, MJF asks if Punk always gets back up? Lets test that. FTR and Wardlow comes down, Spears attacks Punk from behind, FTR beat down Punk, Spears hits Punk with a chair. The crowd chants for Wardlow… FTR hold Punk down and Spears continues the attack with the chair. Punk grabs MJF by the scarf but FTR beat him down. MJF tells Wardlow to Powerbomb him.,,

Wardlow Powerbombs Punk on a chair. MJF sits cross-legged on Punks chest. MJF says Punks journey will end at the same place it started, next week in Chicago.

The Acclaimed are backstage, they say Bowens will beat Moxley on Rampage.

Commercial Break.

Tony Schiavone is with Griff Garrison and Julia Hart. Mark Sterling interrupts and says Carghill has chosen Hart to be her next challenger. Hart sings the contract.

Legit Leyla Hirsch makes her entrance. Red Velvet is out next. Velvet charged down to the ring to attack Hirsch.

Red Velvet vs. “Legit” Leyla Hirsch

Velvet with high kicks, a leg lariat, Hirsch escapes the ring. Hirsch pulls Velvet out of the ring and throws her into the barricade. Velvet with a forearm and a clothesline. Back in the ring, Velvet hits a high kick, the high knee, then drops her across the middle rope. Velvet gets an armbar, triangle sleeper, Hirsch powers out and throws her into the turnbuckles. Hirsch with a dropkick to the shoulder.

Hirsch whips Velvet into the corner, Velvet hits a stunner off the middle rope. Velvet with a clothesline, back elbow, drops Hirsch into the middle rope and hits a double knees to the back. Hirsch with a shot to the back, Velvet flips out of a German, Velvet hits a spear, cover, 2 count. Hirsch hits a Powerbomb then a big knee strike, cover, 2 count. Hirsch locks in the Legit Lock Velvet gets to the ropes.

Hirsch with a pump kick in the corner, Velvet gets a roll up, 2 count. Hirsch counters a kick into the roll up, Hirsch grabs the tights, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: “Legit” Leyla Hirsch!

Hirsch continues the attack after the match. Kris Statlander runs down to make the save.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring, he introduces Dr Britt Baker, DMD. The ring is fill with Baker’s awards and plaques. Baker says its been a while since they had a chat. It felt like every time Punk and MJF had a mic, they couldn’t keep her name out of their mouth. 2021 was the year of DMD. She did all of her awards with a broken freaking wrist. This division was a wasteland, she made it a utopia. She didn’t take anybody’s spot, she created her spot. She took over the women’s division, she became the face of AEW.

She was the first female signed to AEW, she stand here as female wrestler of the year. She isn’t going to settle for that, she wont settle until she is female of the decade, she isn’t going anywhere bay bay. You finally have a Baker you can count on.

Vickie Guerrero shouts her way down the entrance tunnel. Nyla Rose says Ruby Soho is the reason she isn’t TBS Champion. She will prove it next week, she wants Ruby Soho.

Justin Roberts introduces the Lights Out match. Adam Cole makes his entrance first. Orange Cassidy is out next.

Lights Out Match: Adam Cole vs. Orange Cassidy

Cassidy breaks his sunglasses and runs at Cole. Strikes back and forth, Cole gets a knee and throws Cassidy out of the ring. Cassidy throws Cole into the barricade, then hits a shotgun dropkick. Cole throws Cassidy into the barricade. Cole hits a backdrop onto the barricade, Cole pulls a chair out from under the ring and Danhausen comes out as well… Danhausen stares at Cole and then leaves.

Cassidy hits a tornado DDT on the outside! Cole hits a superkick, then a pump kick. Cole throws Cassidy into the ring post. Cassidy block a Panama Sunrise and powerslams Cole throw the Timekeepers table. Cole hits Cassidy with the ring bell, then throws Cassidy into the steel steps. Cole traps Cassidy’s arm in the steps and then kicks it. Cole gets weapons from under the ring.

Both men tug of war over a streel chain, Cole hits a Brainbuster over the knee, cover, 2 count. Cole sets up 2 chairs, Cassidy hits Stundog Millionaire and hits a Michinoku Driver through the chairs, cover, 2 count. Cole hits a superkick, Cole motions to the back, Brandon Cutler comes down, Wheeler Yuta intercepts, Booby Fish takes out Yuta, Chuck Taylor throws Fish into the barricade, the Young Bucks hit a double superkick on Taylor.

Trent and Romero takes out the Bucks, Cassidy hits the Beach Break, cover, 2 count. Cassidy hits the Orange Punch, but cant capitalise because of his injured hand. Cole hits a low blow, Cassidy reveals he is wearing a cup! Cassidy hits his weak kicks, climbs to the second rope, the hits a Panama Sunrise, cover, 2 count!

Cassidy gets the chain and wraps it around his injured hand. Cole escapes the ring and tries to leave, Cassidy chases. They brawl to the back, Cole drives Cassidy through a table, cover, 2 count. They brawl back to the entrance ramp, Cole hits a superkick, pulls down his kneepad, Cassidy hits a superkick, wraps a chain around his hand again, the Cole hits Cassidy with a floodlight! Cole climbs up onto the entrance tunnel!

Cassidy has chased Cole up to the entrance tunnel, Cassidy hits a low blow! Cassidy hugs Cole… then Cassidy drags Colle off the tunnel and both men fall through the stage! Cassidy landed on top of Cole and the ref makes the cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Orange Cassidy!

The Best Friends help Cassidy up and they celebrate as Dynamite goes off the air!
