Sting shocked the world when he made his debut in AEW last year in December. Since then he has been featured heavily on AEW television being paired up with Darby Allin. Many AEW stars want a piece of Sting, including Paul Wight.

Despite being over 60, Sting certainly has been competing at an unexpectedly high level and that has certainly impressed fans and pro wrestlers alike. For many fans, he has hardly lost a step.

During last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Sting and Darby Allin squared off against The Acclaimed. During the match, Sting launched himself off the ramp with a splash and put Max Caster through a table. Allin hit a Coffin Drop on Anthony Bowens for the win.

While speaking on his podcast, Experience, Jim Cornette made it clear he isn’t a fan of Sting doing high-risk moves and accused AEW of trying to physically kill him.

“Sting is 62, and then he has to make another comeback, go out to the stage and dive off the stage and put Caster through the table with a splash. They are determined to kill Sting, and I am definitely not talking about killing his gimmick, I’m talking about killing him physically. There was no reason to do that.”

CM Punk gave massive props to Sting for his performance on AEW Dynamite last week. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Sting.
