WrestleMania week is one of the most anticipated events every year for wrestling fans. WWE takes over entire cities when they bring their spectacle to town. This year, Stone Cold Steve Austin’s home state of Texas will be no different.
The Dallas Morning News ran an article today that unveiled the company’s plans for several events leading up to WrestleMania at AT&T Stadium on April 2 and 3. The week-long celebration will include episodes of Raw and SmackDown as well as the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and an NXT Stand & Deliver event.
Times, dates, and locations have not yet been determined. Those will come at a later date. For fans who were hoping to be able to attend the HOF and NXT events, it comes as welcome news.
The 2020 and 2021 WWE Hall of Fame inductions were held at pre-recorded events in the Thunderdome. This year will mark the return of live fans to the huge annual event. Many weren’t sure if WWE was planning an in-person HOF ceremony. Performers and fans alike will revel in the energy that was missing without a live audience.
Dallas is hoping WrestleMania week brings a huge economic impact to the region. In 2016 when AT&T Stadium hosted the event, $170.4 million was generated for the local area. WWE is looking to make this the biggest Mania yet.
The WWE Universe will have to be patient as they await more details on the times, dates, and locations of the special WrestleMania gatherings. There is sure to be more news to follow soon. It’s great to see these awesome events making their way back into the fold.
