CM Punk made his All Elite Wrestling debut a few months ago at AEW Rampage: The First Dance. It certainly changed the pro wrestling world as many people took notice of the company. Tony Schiavone considered it the greatest debut in pro wrestling history.
Bryan Danielson also made his debut in AEW during the All Out pay-per-view. Since then both CM Punk and Bryan Danielson have been regularly featured on AEW television.
While speaking with The Wrestling Observer, IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada talked about the importance of speculating dream matches during the COVID-19 pandemic. Okada revealed that he is interested in having dream matches against CM Punk and Bryan Danielson among others.
“We can’t possibly say it at the moment, and everything is so up in the air, and sometimes putting these situations out, they might just end as dream matches and everybody’s got a limited number of days left. But it’s because we’re in the situation that we’re in that these dream matches become more important to all of us as fans, to give something to imagine and speculate and look forward to.
Who knows, it might be Bryan Danielson, it might be CM Punk, it might be Triple H, or it might be Shinsuke Nakamura. It might be all of these different situations. Now we’re in this situation we’re in as a planet and as a society it’s more important than ever to have these crazy speculations and wild dreams of things we can do.”
We will have to wait and see if Kazuchika Okada will have matches with both Bryan Danielson and CM Punk in the future as fans would love nothing more than to see them duke it out.
