Sonya Deville made her return to WWE television back in January of last year in a non-wrestling role. Since then, she has been a mainstay of Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown alongside Adam Pearce as a WWE official.

Sonya Deville last competed at SummerSlam back in 2020, where she lost a loser leaves WWE match to Mandy Rose. She also had a lot to deal with in her personal life during that time as she faced a terrible stalker experience.

Since then Deville has been engaged in a longstanding feud with Naomi. She also cost Naomi her match against SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. Due to this, Adam Pearce booked Sonya Deville vs. Naomi for next week’s show.

While speaking to Megan Morant during a backstage interview, Sonya Deville was asked about her upcoming match against Naomi. Naomi made it clear she didn’t understand why Naomi has an issue with her.

“I’m excited, I’m happy. I’m always down for some competition. I don’t understand what the issue is. I have no issue with Naomi but I don’t think the same goes for her. She’s a fierce and talented competitor. I think she was the champion like three, four or five years ago or something like that. So, it should be a great match, yeah. It’s great, everything’s great!”

We will have to wait and see when Sonya Deville and Naomi’s feud will come to an end, as many fans have already grown tired of it.
