The Rock Was Never Discussed For 2022 WWE Royal Rumble Appearance

WWE is holding their next Royal Rumble event in a matter of days, but fans should not tune in hoping to see The Rock make his long-awaited return to the company.

We were told by a tenured member of the creative team that “Rock has never been scheduled at all” for the Royal Rumble. The company made all Royal Rumble plans without even considering The Rock for a role.

Since it is well-known that the Jumanji star is busy, “Rock was never even once discussed a possibility of appearing.” This has not changed and it will not change, so dismiss all rumors of any consideration for The Rock on January 29th.

Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE never planned for The Rock vs Roman Reigns at this year’s WrestleMania event. Dwayne Johnson is a very busy man, and WWE will take him when he is available. That availability is not going to open up any time soon.

Dwayne Johnson will return to WWE eventually for, at least, an appearance. He might wrestle again as well, but it will take a lot of finessing.

The Royal Rumble will likely include a surprise or two from fans, but they won’t be randomly asked if they smell what The Rock is cooking at any point in the show.
