Kevin Owens remains one of the mainstays of WWE television ever since his debut in NXT back in 2014. He also made a name for himself in the independent circuit before making his way to WWE. He was also one of the rare top Superstars that WWE kept on tour during this recent pandemic situation.
After a lot of speculation of whether Kevin Owens would stay with WWE or not, it was revealed that Owens signed another contract with WWE, which was said to be a multi-year deal.
During a recent interview to promote WWE 2k22, Rey Mysterio was asked to pick a current superstar he’d like to square off against in a match. Mysterio revealed that he would love to face off against Kevin Owens.
“I have been keeping a close eye on Kevin Owens. You know, him and I have never clashed on a one-on-one. It has always been a 4-way match, not too long ago with Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. But Kevin Owens is the guy that I have my eyes on. Finn Balor is another guy that I would love to go out there and just compete with in a one-on-one you know. Those two guys are definitely at the top of my list right now.”
Kevin Owens saw a tweet of the interview and commented on it, as Owens revealed that he would more than love to face off against the legendary WWE Superstar. It remains to be seen whether the match will happen in the future or not.
