Nyla Rose is a force to be reckoned with in AEW. The Native Beast has been AEW Women’s World Champion and towers over her competition. Nyla has also developed a great following on social media. Rose won’t be able to put her skills on display at one upcoming independent event, however.

Nyla was scheduled to wrestle for Enjoy Wrestling on January 22nd against Edith Surreal. A positive test for COVID-19 has forced the promotion to nix those plans. They announced the cancellation via Twitter. Nyla responded by apologizing and putting over her replacement.

“Welp, we have some bad news. Nyla Rose has contracted COVID and will not be able to participate in Striking Distance this Saturday. This is obviously upsetting, but what can you do? Sh*t happens. We wish @NylaRoseBeast a speedy recovery and are working to find a replacement.”

“It absolutely breaks my heart to have to cancel shows… but in this case it would have been incredibly negligent of myself no to do so. However there are benefits to being dark order adjacent…”

Evil Uno of Dark Order will take Nyla Rose’s spot on the card. Uno will take on Edith at the Striking Distance event. The show will take place at Mr. Small’s Theare in Pittsburgh. AEW fans will still to get see one of their favorite stars.

Nyla appears to have a good sense of humor about her situation. Hopefully her symptoms aren’t too bad. We’ll have to see when Nyla Rose makes her return to the ring. Get well soon!
