Frankie Kazarian can certainly be described as tough as they come. His many years of experience in the squared circle prove as much, but if anyone had any doubt, the occurrences from last night prove it to a T. It was before his match with Lance Archer, that he had to have his elbow drained.

Why you ask? Because of a bad case of Bursitis that attacked his elbow. We here at Ringside News would like to warn our readers that some of the following information may be disturbing, and we’ve also shared an image of the condition his elbow was in prior to having it drained, so please be prudent if squeamish.

He of course didn’t seem to have anything bothering him during the match though, pro and veteran that he is, but that wasn’t at all the case. He took to Twitter to speak about what happened.

“Two Hours before my match with @LanceHoyt I had a bad case of bursitis and had to have my elbow drained with a syringe. Here are the results. No excuses, as Lance is a killer. But be aware that I am the fucking man I have been for a long time.”

Johns Hopkins Medicine defines Bursitis as being :

“An inflammation of a bursa. A bursa is a closed, fluid-filled sac that works as a cushion and gliding surface to reduce friction between tissues of the body. The major bursae (this is the plural of bursa) are located next to the tendons near the large joints, such as in the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees.”

Pro wrestlers have to deal with a lot of uncomfortable injuries, and no, it isn’t at all glamorous. Pro wrestling is full of pain and injuries that most never have to deal with. The measure of an athlete in pro wrestling comes when what they do in the face of such adversity is brought to the surface as in this case.

Kudos to Kaz for his level of toughness and professionalism. “The show must go on,” as they say, and boy did it ever. Kaz and Archer had quite the physical match that many are still talking about for obvious reasons.
