AEW Dynamite Results for January 19, 2022

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. AEW Dynamite will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

JR welcomes us to the show and the first man out, making his return to AEW is Jon Moxley! Moxley walks out through the crowd as the crowd sings “Wild Thing!” Huge “Moxley!” chants, as he gets a mic. “Welcome Back” chants, Moxley says a little while ago, somebody shouts something from the crowd and Moxley tells him to go fuck himself, get him out of here. Moxley says a while ago he fell asleep and had a back dream. His face was bruised and cut up, and he had a demon that followed him around his whole life, it was laughing at him. Everything you have in your life that’s good doesn’t belong to you. “Do you really think you would make it out?” He woke up before he could answer.

Moxley says he has more scars on his body than most but the scars you cant see are the important ones. those are the scars that make you who you are. Nobody’s perfect. Everybody should bare their scars to the world and show it who you are. There are people who want to write him off, but they can shove it up their ass, he doesn’t run from demons, he beats the shit out of them. We are going on a ride in the year of 2022, he will grab the world of wrestling by the balls and say that he is truly free. He has been to hell, nobody can put him through more hell than that. These days all he drinks is blood!

Moxley leaves through the crowd as commentary runs down tonight’s card.

MJF is backstage, says last week was a travesty, Punk took the easy way out. Wardlow should have reversed it but he is here to apologise, Wardlow has been an stellar employee and friend. It is his birthday and he apologises. But… as much as it pains him, he will have to dock Wardlow’s pay. If Wardlow wins the Face of the Revolution ladder match his pay will go right back up. Spears will show the world how to get the job done tonight.

Adam Cole makes his entrance, followed by the AEW Women’s World Champion, Britt Baker. Orange Cassidy is out next, along with Kris Statlander.

Orange Cassidy & Kris Statlander vs. Adam Cole & Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

Baker and Statlander start, Baker quickly tags Cole. Cole tags Bakers back in. Baker goes face to face with Cassidy. Cassidy kicks her shins, Baker stomps on his foot. Statlander hits a bodyslam, Baker avoids the Big Bang Theory and tags in Cole. Cassidy climbs to the top and hits a crossbody, Cole hits a pump kick, Orange hits a Tornado DDT and Cole falls out of the ring. Statlander with a delayed Vertical Suplex on Baker. Statlander hits a pendulum moonsault off the apron on Baker, while Cassidy falls onto Cole. Big hug from Cassidy and Statlander. Cole and Baker hit double superkicks and then kiss.

Double clothesline, both men down. Baker and Statlander tag in, Statlander with a lariat, back elbow, back breaker, running elbow in the corner, running knee. blue thunder bomb, cover, 2 count. Baker gets a backslide, 2 count, Statlander escapes, Baker with a fisherman’s neckbreaker. Cole tags in, Cassidy with big right hands, Cole with a low kick, Cassidy catches another kick but Cole hits an enziguri, Cassidy hits Stundog Millionaire, Baker makes the blind tag, she hits the Curbstomp!

Statlander hits the Big Bang Theory, cover, 2 count. Cole puts his body in the way of a Statlander splash, but Statlander hits the Area 451 anyway, Cassidy hits the Beach Break, cover, 2 count. Cassidy goes for a splash to the outside but Cole hits a superkick. Statlander pushes Cassidy out of the way of a Panama Sunrise, Baker hits a superkick Baker hits the Pittsburgh Sunrise on the ramp, Cole hits a Panama Sunrise in the ring, cover, 2 count!

Baker and Cole set up the timekeepers table at ringside, Cassidy accidentally knocks Baker through the table! Cole looks furious, Cole hits a low blow!Cole drops the kneepad and hits the Boom, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Adam Cole & Britt Baker!

Cole goes to check on Baker.

Marvez is backstage with Chris Jericho, Santana and Ortiz. Jericho says he doesn’t give a rats ass about Kingston. Ortiz says hey care about Kingston, Santana say maybe Jericho is the reason they aren’t the tag champs. When has Jericho ever had their back? Next week they will prove they don’t need Jericho to win.

Commercial Break.

Marvez is backstage with Adam Cole. Cole says Cassidy has been a thorn in his side for far too long, and then he put his hands on my girlfriend! He has beaten Orange time and time again, what more does he need to do? Next week he will destroy you. Next week it will be an anything goes, No DQ, Lights Out Match. Its time he end Cassidy’s career.

Shawn Spears makes his entrance. Cult of Personality hits and CM Punk makes his way to the ring. MJF’s music hits and he joins commentary.

CM Punk vs. Shawn Spears

Punk hits GTS right out of the gate! Punk covers, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: CM Punk!

Punk stares down MJF. MJF runs down to the ring when Punk’s back is turned, Punk sees him before he can do anything. Punk grabs MJF by the scarf, MJF wriggles out and runs away.

Billy Gunn has commandeers a backstage camera. Billy greets Christian Cage, tells him his boys are ranked number one, they deserve a tag match, Christian say Austin and Colton have it all, but they cant get the job done in the big matches. The Gunn Club beat down Christian.

The lights cut out and Cody Rhodes makes his entrance. Cody gets a ladder from under the ring. Cody asks what we want to talk about? He is reminded of a man who sat on a stage and looked in a ring and gave one of the most important addresses in the history of our sport(The Pipebomb). Somebody told him to save this promo, but he is going to do it anyway. In the pipe bomb he listed things, going to new Japan, working with Ring Of Honor, team with the Young Bucks. He was unable to do those thing… “Shut the Fuck Up” chants. He would eventually wind up here in the comeback of the decade.

“Cody Sucks” chants. In the void CM Punk left behind, somebody di do all of those thing, I did. He did everything Punk say he would. You wanna ask why he wont turn heel, its because they all cheer him when he needed them the most. The forbidden door? If you are an industry journalist and you disagree, you are not a journalist, because I an the one who built it. “Cody” chants.

When he is gone, he is gone for 2 week, the Young Buck almost started the Wednesday Night Wars again by breaking development once again. Starks got in a tiff with Jay Lethal, avoid the Lethal Injection. Malakai Black beat him twice and he hates to lose. Cody makes fun of Gunther. If you come to AEW and call yourself Brody you’ve got balls. Speaking of Brodie, of Darby, of Miro, of Sammy, they are a legacy of champions, we don’t have secondary belts, but right now there is two. Its obvious what we need to do, he looks up at the ladder. Tony has a contract, but not the on he wanted… At Beach Break, two title, one champion. Sammy what do you say?

Cody climbs the ladder and holds up the TNT Championship.

Tony Schiavone is with Jade Carghill, Mark Sterling, Anna Jay and Jon Silver. Jade has issued an open challenge. Anna Jay has accepted. Sterling says they are thrilled to accept the challenge. Silver says Anna will beat her, Anna says there is a dark side to Anna Jay, she will do whatever it takes to win, will you? Jade says this is That Bitch Show.

The House of Black make their entrance. Varsity Blonds are out next.

House of Black (Malakai Black & Brody King) vs. Varsity Blonds

Garrison and King start, Black tags in, back elbow, elbows in the corner, snapmare. King tags in, big shoulder block, Garrison with a jawbreaker, Pillman tags in, big right hand to King. Pillman goes for a springboard but second guesses him. Black has broken Pillman’s confidence. King with a running shoulder tackle into the steel steps. King drives Pillman into the apron,

Pillman with a back elbow, Black with a leg sweep, King hits a senton. King and Black hit Dante’s Inferno, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: House of Black!

Black say “Members of the House of Black, rise….” Pac appears on the big screen, says he now has a bigger purpose, he sees Black, he is the same as every other cretin in AEW. You may have a few spells up you sleeve but the Bastard is out of reach, incorruptible. You expected him to bow and and call him you master. Pac will make an example of you.

Brandon Cutler sets up a camera, Trent Barretta and Rocky Romero enter shot, they say they have been losing to the Elite week after week. They beat the Young Buck for the IWGP tag title 3 times. They are the guys to beak the Young Bucks, they challenge the Bucks to a match on Rampage.

Frankie Kazarian makes his entrance. Out next is Lance Archer, accompanied by Dan Lambert and Jake the Snake Roberts.

Archer hits an elbow strike right out of the gate. Kazarian tries to fight back to little affect, Archer with a lariat to the back. Archer with a big chop in the corner, Kazarian tries to fight back, Archer with clubbing blows, Archer stands on Kazarian. Archer with kicks in the corner, big elbow strike, straight left hand, another elbow. Archer hits a big suplex. High knee, clubbing blows to the back, hard whip into the corner, Kazarian gets an elbow, but Archer hits a big clothesline.

Archer with overhand chops in the corner, hard whip to the opposite corner. Kazarian flips out of a chokeslam, flying forearm, Archer hits a back elbow. Kazarian escapes the Blackout with hammering elbows, biting him on the forehead. Kazarian with a missile dropkick, springboard legdrop, cover, 1 count. Kazarian with running knees, Archer hits a forearm, the a big chokeslam. Archer hits the Hellicoaster, the hits the Blackout, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Lance Archer!

Tony Schiavone is the the ring, he asks what his relationship is with Dan Lambert. Lambert says Page isn’t old enough for this. He played video games, he isn’t prepared for this monster. Archer gets the mic and says enough of the Cowboy Bullshit. He will show them what is is about to do. Archer throws Kazarian out of the ring. Archer goes to chokeslam Kazarian through a chair but Hangman Page’s music hits. Page goes face to face with Archer. Page slaps Archer, Archer and Page tee off on each other. Page hits Archer with the cowboy boot, Page goes for the Buckshot but Archer catches him. Page fights Archer out of the ring. Lambert holds Archer back.

Marvez is with Dante Martin, Lee Moriarty and Matt Sydal. Martin says he has their back. Moriarty say they will have Martin’s back.

Starks and Hobbs say Martin has a baby brother complex, but nobody is his friends and he will find out he is all alone. Hobbs say Martin will need somebody to watch his back because Team Taz builds assassins.

Commercial Break.

Tony Schiavone is with Kris Statlander and Red Velvet. Layla Hirsch interrupts them and says she wishes Statlander had the same focus for their match, as she has cost her and Red thousands of dollars. Red Velvet says it was a miscommunication. Layla attacks Red Velvet and Statlander.

Skye Blue makes her entrance. Serena Deeb is out next.

Serena Deeb vs. Skye Blue

Lock up, Deeb gets a snapmare. Deeb with a headlock, shoulder block, and throws Blue out of the ring. Blue hits a forearm, Deeb with a front guillotine into a neckbreaker. Deeb with a clothesline in the corner, a dragon screw, and catapults Blue into the bottom rope. Deeb with an uppercut, then a swinging neckbreaker. Deeb hits the Deebtox. Deeb goes into a Serenity Lock, Blue taps out.

WINNER: Serena Deeb!

Dan Lambert is with Men of the Year. Page says he didn’t scatter when Moxley offer a challenge on Rampage. Page say while Moxley has been gone he has been racking up wins. Don’t take Ethan Page lightly. He is a franchise player.

Tony Schiavone is with Matt Hardy and Andrade. Hardy says he has sold Andrade 49% of the HFO. Andrade is now the president of HFO, and from this day forth they will be known as the AHFO. If Darby survives tonight they will consider him for the AHFO.

The Acclaimed make the entrance before doing a mocking video of Sting and Darby Allin. Caster raps about Sting and Darby. Darby Allin is out next, followed by Sting as the lights cut out and snow falls.

The Acclaimed attack Sting and Darby before the bell. They take out Sting, wrap a chair around Darby’s neck and throw him into the ringpost! Doctors and Sting check on Darby.

Sting & Darby Allin vs. The Acclaimed

Sting fights off both men singlehandedly as Darby is helped to the back. Sting throws Bowens out of the ring, then sends him into the steel steps, then does the same to Caster. Sting hits the Stinger Splash on Caster! He does the same to Bowens but he moves and exposes the turnbuckle! The Acclaimed beat down Sting.

Caster tags in, Sting hits a double clothesline! Sting with the Scorpion Death Lock on Caster, Bowens hits a rolling elbow but it doesn’t phase Sting! Bowens hits a superkick, flooring Sting. Bowens hits Sting with a boombox when the ref is distracted. Darby Allin comes out of nowhere and flies through the crowd onto the Acclaimed!

Allin tags in and hits a double Coffin Drop to the outside. Allin hits Code Red on Caster, cover, 2 count. Coffin splashes in the corner, Allin locks in a guillotine, Caster tags Bowens. Bowens breaks the guillotine, Bowens hits a side slam, Caster hits the mic drop, cover, Sting breaks the count. sting clotheslines Caster out of the ring, then ends Bowens out of the ring as well.

Sting dives off the stage onto Bowens on the floor through the table! In the ring, Allin hits the Stunner, then the Coffin Drop, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Sting & Darby Allin!
