Brock Lesnar was absent from WWE television after dropping the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. That changed at WWE SummerSlam last year, where he made his shocking return to WWE television and confronted Roman Reigns. Brock officially came back as a babyface, much to the delight of fans.
At the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship after defeating Big E, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley. It seems he has now tied with two WWE legends for a huge record.
Fans have certainly been enjoying Lesnar’s current character as it is more laid back and enthusiastic. They especially loved Lesnar’s on-screen segments with Sami Zayn on Friday Night Smackdown.
While speaking on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan talked about Brock Lesnar’s current character and his attempts at trying to be funny. Konnan blasted Lesnar’s character for being unnecessary and unfunny.
“That’s totally unnecessary, that graphic, I’m not sure what that even means… Here’s the thing with Brock – he is simply not that funny to me. He tries to imitate Paul E. [Paul Heyman] and show his funny side, but it just falls flat and is not funny. When he is scripted, he is not funny. His UFC unscripted character was mint. That’s the guy that should be talking.”
Brock Lesnar is set to defend his WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 29th this year. We will have to wait and see who will end up winning the match.
