The Briscoe Brothers were one of the more interesting acts on Ring of Honor. With the promotion’s unfortunate hiatus last year, the brothers have been left to figure out their professional wrestling future here on out.
The Briscoe Brothers recently made an appearance on “Busted Open,” where they discussed the ROH Hiatus, and where that leaves them with regards to the future. Mark Briscoe expressed sympathy for other wrestlers affected by the hiatus.
It’s an unfortunate situation. I especially feel bad for our friends, the guys and girls, that might not get an opportunity to work somewhere else. They really need to get back on the grind.
Jay Briscoe touched upon the possibility of going to WWE, expressing confidence that “[they] would survive and thrive. Vince McMahon likes money. When [they] get in between those ropes, that’s what [they] do.” The brothers also discussed AEW as a possibility, with Mark responding to concerns regarding the possible lack of TV time at AEW.
I think once we make that splash, they’re going to want to see it again. I’m not really too worried about that. At the end of the day, we’re providing for our family, so we have to do what we have to do, but I don’t think we have to worry about riding the bench.
No matter where the Briscoe Brothers end up in the future, one this is for certain. They will continue to bring quality entertainment to their fans.
