WWE Ring Announcer Mike Rome Moving Full Time To Raw

Mike Rome has been pulling double duty for WWE. The ring announcer has been working both Raw and Smackdown to fill the void left by Greg Hamilton. Hamilton was released by WWE after threatening rapper Westside Gunn with the company’s legal team.

Samantha Irvin is set to take over the job on SmackDown. The blue brand will now have their very own distinct ring announcer. Mike Rome will switch to Raw only.

Rome made the announcement on Instagram. Irvin will handle the SmackDown duties. Mike Rome will head to Tulsa for tonight’s Raw.

Samantha Irvin is currently in a relationship with WWE superstar Ricochet. Samantha got her start with WWE on the NXT brand. Mike Rome is confident she can get the job done.

WWE was forced to scramble for ring announcers after Greg Hamilton was let go for making legal threats on behalf of the company that they did not endorse. It seems like things are going to settle down now. Hopefully this ends the WWE ring announcer revolving door situation once and for all.
