Lita is most certainly one of the pioneers of women’s wrestling in the pro wrestling world. She has paved the way for future generations of female pro wrestlers. It seems she opened up about her most recent appearance as well.
Lita made her return to WWE television on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, as she laid out Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Fans simply loved this segment as Lita hinted at having one more run in the company despite retiring years ago.
While speaking to WWE correspondent Megan Morgant on Talking Smack, Lita talked about her laying out Charlotte Flair with a Twist Of Fate. Lita stated that she believes Charlotte Flair got what she deserved.
“Come on, don’t tell me Charlotte Flair did not deserve what she got. I think everyone wants to get a piece of Charlotte Flair. It was a blast. I know it has been a very long time since I have been on SmackDown, but it felt like I was home. It was just nice to hear my music hit, to get out there and be in front of the fans again. A little precursor to Royal Rumble where the pressure is on.”
Lita’s appearance on Friday Night Smackdown was also a last-minute decision. As reported earlier, AEW had also planned on bringing Lita to the company for a feud with Britt Baker last year, but that didn’t end up happening. Lita is scheduled to appear during the Women’s Royal Rumble match. It remains to be seen how she will fare in the match.
