Lita is most certainly one of the pioneers of women’s wrestling in the pro wrestling world. She has paved the way for future generations of female pro wrestlers. It seems her appearance was not a plan made in advance.

Lita made her return to WWE television on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, as she laid out Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Fans simply loved this segment as Lita hinted at having one more run in the company despite retiring years ago.

According to a report by PWInsider, Lita making an appearance during this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown was a decision made at the very last minute. The idea was approved on Thursday, and WWE booked her to travel the same day in order for her to make it for the show.

As reported earlier, AEW had also planned on bringing Lita to the company for a feud with Britt Baker last year, but that didn’t end up happening. Lita is scheduled to appear during the Women’s Royal Rumble match. It remains to be seen how she will fare in the match.
