The WWE Day 1 pay-per-view was a night of incredible highs and terrible lows. It also featured a lot of changes due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak in the company. It seems Ridge Holland finally got surgery recently as well.

Ridge Holland teamed up with Sheamus and squared off against Cesaro and Ricochet during the kickoff show. However, Ridge Holland suffered a bloody injury in the early portion of his tag team match.

This ultimately led to the match becoming a 2 on 1 handicap match as Sheamus had to work the match alone while trainers tended to Ridge Holland. Michael Cole then announced on commentary that Holland would not be returning as he was being treated for a broken nose.

While speaking on El Brunch de WWE, Ridge Holland provided an update on his nose injury. Holland revealed that he successfully underwent surgery and his nose was repaired.

“I feel good. I took a bit of a knock thanks to Ricochet but, the surgery was very good, the nose is fixed. I’m just waiting for it to heal fully now so, we’re good. We’re good.

Yeah, the option’s out [to use a mask]. I think I’ll need some protection when I first get in the ring so, I might have to, you know, borrow something off him [Sheamus], you know?”

We will have to wait and see when Ridge Holland will be making his return to the squared circle as WWE is currently high on the superstar.
