Deonna Purrazzo lost her chance to regain the Impact Knockouts championship at Impact Wrestling’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view. Mickie James won a Texas Death match that left the victor bloodied. Mickie will now take the title to the WWE Royal Rumble. Deonna wasn’t finished searching for gold just yet.
On last night’s Impact, Deonna faced Ring of Honor women’s champ Rok-C. Purrazzo came into the match as the reigning AAA champion. The two faced off in a title-for-title bout with huge stakes.
Rok-C tapped out to an armbar. Deonna became a double champion across two countries. ROH Champion Jonathan Gresham took to Twitter to give Deonna some major props. Impact posted a tweet asking what fans’ thoughts on the show were along with a photo of Deonna holding up both titles. Gresham quickly responded.
“I believe she’s the best technical wrestler in the world.”
Gresham’s sentiments fall in line with many Impact fans. The Virtuosa has been red hot. Even her loss at Hard to Kill couldn’t slow her momentum.
Impact Wrestling has been turning some heads with their ongoing Ring of Honor invasion storyline. Many would argue that Deonna Purrazzo is a rising star in the wrestling world after grabbing the ROH title. Purrazzo would probably tell you she’s already arrived.
