The Undertaker will forever be regarded as a legend in the world of professional wrestling. His contributions to the business will never be forgotten as he has given 30 years of his life and sacrificed his body. It seems his match with John Cena has an interesting backstory as well.
The Deadman has squared off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world had to offer over his three-decade-long career. He has always managed to put over the unlikeliest of opponents in all kinds of matches as well.
The Undertaker squared off against John Cena at WrestleMania 34 in a squash match after Cena relentlessly pursued The Phenom for a match. While speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, John Cena revealed that he drank three tall beer drafts prior to his match against The Undertaker.
“Everybody’s chilled and watched the show because they were watching with John [Cena]. And I made great friends with some people who traveled from Australia and people who traveled from across the US buying each other beers. Literally, I crushed three tall drafts before they told me The Undertaker was there and I had to hop the barricade and go wrestle The Undertaker.”
The Undertaker also recently revealed how many surgeries he needed throughout his career. He has been enjoying his life in retirement since then but had also mentioned earlier that he wanted to mentor young WWE talents. On the other hand, John Cena is busy with his Peacemaker spinoff and future projects as well. It remains to be seen whether Cena will return to WWE soon or not.
