Bron Breakker Opens Up About Living Up To His Family’s High Expectations

Rick Steiner’s son Bron Breakker has been on a roll since debuting in NXT 2.0 back in September last year. His popularity soared every passing week and it is unlikely to stop anytime soon. It seems he has a lot of expectations to live up to.

As seen on last week’s NXT New Year’s Evil event, Bron Breakker challenged Tommaso Ciampa for the NXT Championship in the main event of the show. In a true passing of the torch moment, Bron Breakker defeated Tommaso Ciampa for the title.

While speaking on the WWE After the Bell Podcast with Corey Graves, Bron Breakker opened up about having to live up to the high expectations of the Steiner family. Breakker admitted he has big shoes to fill but will work hard to achieve it.

“Just the first time my dad seeing me wrestle. It was cool, man, seeing my brother there in the front row. My dad has high expectations for me. There is a high bar. I have got big shoes to fill in terms of what him and my uncle did before me.”

Bron Breakker also celebrated his huge NXT Championship win with his father. It remains to be seen how he will be booked in the coming months as he is now the NXT Champion and whether he will be called up to the main roster this year or not.
