John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. Since 2017, John Cena became a part-timer in WWE and has appeared sporadically due to his busy schedule in Hollywood. It seems there is a good reason for John Cena’s return to the company.

Cena shockingly returned at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view back in July last year and immediately got involved in a feud with Roman Reigns. Their feud culminated in the main event of WWE SummerSlam for the Universal Championship.

The future WWE Hall of Famer couldn’t defeat Roman Reigns, but he did get destroyed by former adversary Brock Lesnar after the conclusion of the event. Cena has not been seen on WWE television since his loss to Roman Reigns.

While speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, John Cena talked about making his return to WWE despite the fact that he does not really have to. It ultimately comes down to his desire to face the challenge of telling a story.

“What brings me back to WWE isn’t the falling down. It is not necessarily the improvement of physical skill. It’s the storytelling thtat brings me back. I like being able to tell a story with Roman Reigns. I love the challenge of telling a story, and acting is literally just being able to change characters whenever you want and tell a new story,”

John Cena also made it clear he isn’t done with WWE by a long shot. We will have to wait and see when John Cena will return to the company as fans will always be glad to see the Leader of Cenation back in any capacity.
