Samoa Joe is one of the most talented and accomplished pro wrestlers around and his time in WWE has been eventful. Joe won the NXT Title and was later placed on the main roster, even if he was told he shouldn’t expect to receive a call-up. It seems Jim Cornette blasted WWE once again.
Samoa Joe made his debut in NXT back in 2015 after he parted ways with TNA Wrestling that year. He became one of the mainstays of the black and gold brand in no time. He returned to NXT after a run on the main roster and getting released.
Unfortunately, Samoa Joe was released by the company once again last week after being absent from WWE television for a few months. Ringside News exclusively reported that those releases were personal.
While speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette blasted WWE for not finding a way to utilize Samoa Joe and firing the Samoan Submission Machine instead.
“He wrestled just fine, never wrestled again after his NXT Title match against Karrion Kross. And now they fire him again. Joe couldn’t have been a coach? This guy can’t be a trainer? He has done commentary, he is well-spoken, plus he could still go in the ring ‘because he just had a match with Karrion Kross, what, six months ago.
He knows how to work with younger guys and he’s impeccable in the ring for his gimmick. But somehow the company can’t find anyway, in the WWE, to utilize Samoa Joe. Meanwhile, Mandy Rose has a helicopter and Joe Gacy has a stooge.”
Samoa Joe is also getting huge interest from pro wrestling promoters. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Samoa Joe now that his time with WWE is over.
