There is no doubt that Samoa Joe is one of the most talented and accomplished pro wrestlers in the business. Samoa Joe had a very eventful first run on NXT before he made his way to the main roster in WWE. It seems Cornette opened up about Samoa Joe’s future in pro wrestling as well.
The Samoan Submission Machine returned to NXT after a run on the main roster and got released. However, he was hired back shortly thereafter and engaged in a feud with Karrion Kross.
Joe ended up defeating Kross for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver 36. However, Joe would then have to relinquish the title after suffering some sort of injury and was absent from NXT television for a long time.
Unfortunately, Samoa Joe was released by the company once again last week. While speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette talked about Samoa Joe possibly making his way to AEW. Cornette believed Joe would be a great asset to AEW.
”Can you imagine Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs? Samoa Joe, if he is still motivated and does not have hate for the wrestling industry after what he has been through, he knows all the young guys. Joe is simply a generation ahead of most talents in AEW. But he knows how to work with younger guys, and he is impeccable in the ring for his gimmick.”
Samoa Joe is also getting huge interest from pro wrestling promoters. We will have to wait and see whether Samoa Joe will make his way to AEW now that his time with WWE is over.
