Kenny Omega is passionate about the AEW women’s division. The Cleaner is in charge of a huge part of the creative direction. Kenny posted a tweet last night to put over the ongoing feuds among the women of AEW. Fans did not react the way he expected.
Omega said that the main event between Riho and Dr. Britt Baker was going to be excellent. Kenny also hyped the ongoing feud between Serena Deeb and Hikaru Shida. Negative comments instantly came flooding in. Kenny responded with a tweet addressing the harsh response.
“It felt nice to tweet something I was passionate about, but yikes, what a mistake. What compels people to leave cruel comments about others on my page? If you like someone/someplace else, congrats. No need to go way out of your way to tweet at someone you already hate.”
Fan response to Kenny Omega’s second tweet received a more positive reaction than his first. Kenny began to trend huge on Twitter. Omega was clearly caught off guard by some of the comments that were made. Many continued to bring up the recent controversy over the diversity of the AEW roster.
Kenny Omega has been away from in-ring competition since losing the World Championship to Adam Page at Full Gear. Since then he has been keeping a close eye on the AEW women’s division. Omega likes what he has been seeing.
