Jim Cornette Believes AEW Will Drop The Ball If They Sign Toni Storm

Toni Storm made her return to WWE television back in November of last year and since then simply wanted to see her compete for the Smackdown Women’s Title. They got their wish as she began feuding with Charlotte Flair on Friday Night Smackdown. It seems Jim Cornette has an interesting take on Toni Storm’s pro wrestling future.

Unfortunately, the feud was far from watchable for fans as it featured them throwing pies at each other, which was not something fans wanted to see at all. Even after her main roster debut, there was a long period of time where Storm was simply gone from WWE television.

In the end, Toni Storm was released by WWE and the belief was that Storm requested this and was granted it. However, that was not exactly the case as Toni Storm ultimately left without giving any prior notice to anyone.

Since her release, many fans wondered whether she will make her way to AEW. While speaking on Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, Jim Cornette talked about how fans would react to Toni Storm making her way to AEW. He believes that AEW will drop the ball with Storm.

”Yes. Yes. They will drop the ball but she has notoriety. She basically said take this job and shove it, a lot of the fans like that. Especially the fans who just do not like the WWE.”

Ric Flair also previously claimed that Toni Storm left WWE due to exhaustion. We will have to wait and see whether Storm will make her way to AEW or not.
