Big E truly had a long and difficult road to the top of WWE. After a solid run on NXT, he was called up to the main roster but was eventually lost in the shuffle. It seems Big E opened up about his solo theme song.

WWE decided to push Big E as a singles competitor following the 2020 edition of the WWE Draft, where the company split up the New Day. With a different focus on his career, he was also given a different theme song.

While speaking with The PWI Podcast, Big E talked about his change in his theme song. The former WWE Champion explained why his sol theme song was very different compared to The New Day’s.

“They just came to me, this was about a year ago (…) the talk was essentially like, ‘hey, we want to do a solo theme for you.’ (…) I was thinking, maybe we just remix the current theme, The New Day theme (…) So it still has connections to that. The thing that I loved, (…) if it’s a new theme, whatever we are doing my first thought is Wale. Reach out to Wale.”

Big E was also the favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match this year. We will have to wait and see whether Big E will end up winning the Royal Rumble and getting the WrestleMania moment he has always wanted.
