WWE has been releasing several employees including WWE Superstars for the past several months. This began with the release of Superstars such as Chelsea Green and Mickie James in April last year. An astounding number of talents have been released last year and it seems the company already started releasing more talents this year.

Back in June, WWE held yet another round of cuts from the company and it included several big names. This also included Fandango, who was a veteran in the company.

Fandango’s career peaked during his WrestleMania 29 match against Chris Jericho, where he would end up winning. Unfortunately, WWE never utilized Fandango to his full potential.

While speaking on the Rasslin podcast, Cody Rhodes criticized WWE for dropping the ball on Fandango when he was asked about Hook’s current popularity in AEW as well.

“I mean no disrespect to this person but do you remember Fandango? Everyone in the crowd was going nuts for Fandango. It was insane but somewhere along the line it fell back into humor and it fell back into an ironic wrestler.”

Fandango is now known as Dirty Dango and has been competing in promotions such as the NWA, where he made his debut at the NWA Hard Times 2 pay-per-view.
