Mandy Rose completely changed her look on in NXT 2.0, showing off a much darker side of her character as a result. She also aligned herself with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. It seems she opened up about t her current run on NXT 2.0 as well.
Fans were used to seeing Mandy Rose as a blonde bombshell. Many fans simply didn’t think she had any wrestling skills or character work either. Rose would eventually prove all of her haters wrong after winning the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Halloween Havoc.
While speaking with BT Sport, Mandy Rose opened up about her current run in NXT 2.0. Mandy Rose stated that she feels she has come a long way during her current run.
“Yeah, I feel like when I look back in those times, I have come a long way. And, I feel like it’s just like, not even just in-ring ability, it’s just like, when you kind of get that opportunity and that little bit of I don’t wanna say, but like a push, you know. You get some spotlight, I should say.
Let’s say there’s promo work, how I would speak as Amanda, you know. Like, it comes out more natural, and when you feel that confidence and when you kind of have more of that respect, that I have been really getting the last 6 months.”
Mandy Rose successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez at NXT New Year’s Evil. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Rose as her stock continues to rise.
