WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg’s contributions to the pro wrestling world, especially during the 90s, cannot be understated. He became one of the mainstays of WCW and then went on to have a solid career in WWE as well. It seems Ric Flair helped Goldberg in a huge way.
Goldberg made his return to WWE back in 2016 after a hiatus of 12 years. Since then, he has won several titles and was involved in various high profile matches. Prior to that, he debuted in WWE in 2003 and lasted a year, as it ended with him squaring off against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 20.
While speaking on the Wooooo Nation Uncensored show, Ric Flair was asked whether he was surprised Goldberg made his way to WWE. Flair revealed that he told Vince McMahon Goldberg would be a success in WWE.
”I was kind of involved in that. Vince asked me if I thought Bill Godberg could succeed up in WWE. I wasted no time and said, ‘Most definitely.'”
Goldberg was last seen at WWE Crown Jewel, where he defeated Bobby Lashley in a singles match. Goldberg also recently made it clear he doesn’t rule out competing in more matches once his current WWE deal ends. We will have to wait and see when he will make his return to WWE television.
