WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart is without a doubt one of the best technical pro wrestlers the pro wrestling industry has ever seen. He is also a controversial wrestler whose views haven’t always been seen in the best of ways. It seems Ric Flair has an interesting view on Goldberg.
WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart had bitter feelings about Goldberg for several years as Bret Hart suffered a concussion after Goldberg hit him with a botched kick during a match at Starrcade in 1999.
Due to this, Bret Hart suffered post-concussion syndrome, which effectively ended his in-ring career. Bret Hart went on record and said that Goldberg’s work rate was “0/10.”
While speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored Podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair was asked whether Goldberg was safe to work with. Flair stated that he still thinks Goldberg is a safe worker despite concussing Bret Hart.
“Well, to me he was very safe. I have been kicked in the head by him too. Everybody is gonna get kicked or hit in the head. So what may have affected Bret unfortunately, did not affect me.
Wrestling is a very physical, tough sport. When people don’t understand that, it’s ridiculous. Because no matter whether it’s choreographed or not, these kids put their bodies on the line every day.”
We will never know how much pro wrestling would have been different had Bret Hart still been able to wrestle and not get injured at the hands of Goldberg. Regardless, Bret Hart had previously forgiven Goldberg for what he did as well and no longer has any ill feelings towards him.
