Nikki A.S.H. has been one of the mainstays of the women’s division in WWE for a long time. After facing a lot of adversity when it comes to booking and not being used well on the main roster, Cross finally underwent a change on an episode of Monday Night RAW back in June last year.
Nikki A.S.H. cashed in her Money In The Bank briefcase on Charlotte Flair back in July and became the RAW Women’s Champion. Fans were certainly delighted at this. A.S.H. eventually lost the title and since then, has been teaming up with Rhea Ripley on Monday Night RAW.
While speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Ric Flair talked about WWE titles changing hands often. He especially didn’t see the point of Nikki A.S.H. defeating Charlotte Flair for the RAW Women’s Title.
That night, Charlotte had just won the title and Nikki, after that world-class match with Rhea Ripley, cross-bodied her, 1-2-3, I could not comprehend what in God’s green Earth they could possibly thinking.
Aside from making Nikki – who’s lovely, this is not personal – what did that do for the belt? Charlotte and Rhea tore the joint down. Rhea can work her a** off. Then they have Nikki dive off the top rope, you have taken a great match and given it a cartoon finish. For what? Tell me one thing they accomplished with that? I am just not able to get over that.”
We will have to wait and see if WWE will decide to alter Nikki A.S.H.’s character somewhere down the line, as it seems highly unlikely at this point in time.
