Bryan Danielson left quite a lot behind after he transitioned from WWE to AEW. Not only was Danielson a former champ there, but he enjoyed a healthy dose of creative control that many WWE veterans still lack. He certainly showed a harder side of himself on Dynamite as he bled like a stuck pig in a loss to AEW World Champion Adam “Hangman” Page.
Following his footsteps came others from the WWE Universe to the AEW die-hard fan base. It seems that Danielson has to solidify a place for himself in AEW. As his match with Hangman Adam Page at AEW Dynamite TBS debut showed, he’s not at the top of the mountain yet.
The match, which was scheduled to be a 60-minute contest, ended up running short as a bloodied Danielson lay in the ring. With Page scoring his pin at the perfect moment, he emerge victoriously while Danielson required serious medical attention.
AEW released post-match images of how Danielson looked while being treated. It is nothing short of a nightmare, as the former WWE superstar is barely recognizable while dripping with blood.
The image makes it look like that he’s sustained an injury near his head. It shows that the blood is dripping down, though it might just be a cut that can be easily treated. Moments like this reveal that pro-wrestling is not child’s play, and everyone can get a damaging wound every once in a while.
