WWE has experienced a great deal of staff turnover over the past year. The company has made dramatic roster cuts. Several front office workers and executives have also moved on or been let go. Now there is a new name to add to that growing list. Road Dogg was just released in a recent round of NXT cuts and now another departure has emerged.

WWE Senior Vice President of Consumer Products Sarah Cummins was released by WWE today. Mike Johnson of PW Insider confirmed and reported the news. Cummins had been with WWE since December of 2018.

Sarah worked for the New York Road Runners non-profit running club in New York city prior to joining WWE. Cummins has not released any kind of statement regarding the circumstances of her termination. She oversaw merchandise and other consumer goods for WWE during her time in the role.

WWE previously fired longtime executive Stan Stanski in November. Stanski was the SVP of Creative Services. The company also made some major shifts by hiring three new executives in June.

Approximately 80 in-ring talents were let go by WWE during the 2021 calendar year. The prevailing reason given for the mass firings was budget cuts. The company celebrated record financials throughout the post-COVID lockdown era.

It is unknown if Cummins’ release is related to budget cuts or if the company just wants to shake things up. Moves continue to be made very high levels within WWE. Nobody should feel completely safe in their position, unless their last name is McMahon.
