Kevin Owens remains one of the mainstays of WWE television ever since his debut in NXT back in 2014. He also made a name for himself in the independent circuit before making his way to WWE. He was also one of the rare top Superstars that WWE kept on tour during this recent pandemic situation.
After a lot of speculation of whether Kevin Owens would stay with WWE or not, it was revealed that Owens signed another contract with WWE, which was said to be a multi-year deal.
WWE had already started their Holiday Tour last year, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak, they had pulled a lot of talents from the events, including Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Owens remained on the tour where he destroyed the company’s decorations.
Owens also competed at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view in the Fatal Five-Way match for the WWE Champion. Kevin Owens’ wife Karina Elias took to her Instagram and revealed that she has tested positive for COVID-19. While it wasn’t confirmed whether Kevin Owens has it or not, she stated that their son, Owen, had begun showing symptoms of the virus.
“COVID has hit our household. So far only I’ve tested positive. But Owen’s starting symptoms as well. People please get your booster!! I put it off and my symptoms are not fun (fever, horrible body aches). I know several people that have gotten their booster and were pretty much asymptomatic when they got COVID recently
It remains to be seen whether Kevin Owens has contracted the virus as well or not. Regardless, due to the current climate, it is likely Owens will be staying home for the next couple of weeks.
