Brock Lesnar was not seen on WWE television after dropping the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. That changed at WWE SummerSlam, where he made his shocking return to WWE television and confronted Roman Reigns. Brock officially came back as a babyface, much to the delight of fans.
Brock Lesnar made his WWE debut back in 2002 and he was immediately booked as an unstoppable force who ran roughshod over talents in the company. This includes legends such as Ric Flair.
While speaking on his Wooooo Nation UNCENSORED, Ric Flair talked about squaring off against Brock Lesnar in 2002, when Lesnar was just a rookie. Flair stated that he was very thankful for Lesnar taking care of him during their match.
“Brock Lesnar took care of me. He never hurt me and I will tell you that. When he latches on to you, you will never go anywhere. The first time I wrestled him was the night Steve Austin quit in Atlanta, and Vince said, ‘You’re not part of RAW. I thought I owned RAW,” He said, ‘…You’re wrestling Brock Lesnar [tonight].”
Brock Lesnar would defeat Ric Flair and end up solidifying his status as a main event wrestler in 2002. The rest is simply history at this point in time.
