Goldberg’s contributions to the pro wrestling world do not need any introduction. The WWE Hall Of Famer truly became a household name during his time in WCW. Goldberg previously admitted that he regretted not appreciating pro wrestling in the past.
On the other hand, Hulk Hogan remains one of the most popular pro wrestlers in the world of professional wrestling, with his influence in the business never being understated. However, his troubled past concerning racism has ultimately led to his downfall. Seth Rollins also doesn’t think he’s a good human being.
The two have worked together numerous times in WCW, as they were part of the promotion’s biggest storylines. Many believed Hogan used Goldberg to his advantage in WCW, but that wasn’t the case.
While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff talked about how Goldberg felt as Hulk Hogan took over his spot as the top babyface in WCW. Bischoff claimed that Goldberg was very frustrated after Hulk Hogan became the top babyface in the company.
“I think Bill was like, Bill [Goldberg] got frustrated a lot going back to you know, the fact that he was new in the business and didn’t have, you know, a solid foundation experience that he could rely upon. So, there’s a lot of things that frustrated Bill.
Was Bill frustrated at this point? Sure. But, not because he wasn’t being featured and wasn’t the star of the show. That’s not true. Not true at all. Bill was a team player. He was just not sure how to be a team player sometimes, you know, or whose team or side to join. He was pulled in a lot of different directions, but he was never the kind of guy that you know, where it all had to be about him. That was not him.”
Goldberg was last seen at WWE Crown Jewel, where he defeated Bobby Lashley in a singles match. We will have to wait and see when he will make his return to WWE television.
