Bryan Danielson’s accolades as a professional wrestler certainly need no introductions as they proved to be one of the best in the business. He spent several years working in WWE as one of their top stars and towards the end of his run, Bryan Danielson was even part of WWE Creative.
Bryan Danielson turned heel after becoming the #1 contender for Adam Page’s AEW World Championship. He then proceeded to defeat Dark Order members before finally facing Adam Page.
At AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming, Bryan Danielson and Adam Page put on an absolute clinic in a match that was heralded as one of the best matches in recent memory. Both of them gave it their all in order to come out with the win. Ultimately, the match ended in a 60 minute time limit draw, due to which Adam Page retained his AEW World Championship
While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff discussed Bryan Danielson’s feud with Adam Page. He criticized the feud for being a paint by the numbers wrestling story and something that fans will forget about eventually.
“It’s the genuine lack of depth and real structure to story, this is a paint by numbers wrestling story. When it will be over, a year from now or two years from now, I really doubt anyone will remember this. Despite the fact there are incredible talent involved, no one is going to remember it because there is nothing to remember, there is no moment. There are great matches, sure, but there just isn’t any story.”
We will have to wait and see whether Bryan Danielson will be able to defeat Adam Page during their rematch on the debut episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS on January 5th, 2022.
