Ric Flair made headlines after requesting his release from WWE last year. It was previously said that Ric Flair wants one more in-ring run. He has teased that on numerous occasions as well.
Flair also made it clear that he did not request his release because of his relationship with WWE. Vice’s Dark Side of the Ring focused on The Plane Ride From Hell, which ultimately led to everyone trying to cancel Ric Flair as well.
As many fans are aware by now, Andrade El Idolo is Ric Flair’s son-in-law and due to this connection, many fans have been wondering whether Ric Flair will make his way to AEW to assist Andrade.
Andrade recently made an appearance during Darby Allin’s AEW New Year’s Bash match and stared down Allin. Andrade then recently took to Twitter and stated he has “many friends in the business, but just one father in law”.
Hello!!! Kid @DarbyAllin Nice to meet you sir @Sting remember I have Many friends In the business but just one father In low #TheMan#ElIdolo@RicFlairNatrBoy
Ric Flair also previously teased the possibility of joining AEW. We will have to wait and see if he ever does make his way to AEW or not.
