Drew McIntyre remains one of the top Superstars in WWE and certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion. Sadly, it appears the Scottish Warrior was injured during the first premium live event of 2022.

McIntyre was drafted to Friday Night Smackdown and started appearing on the show after WWE Crown Jewel in October. Since then he has become one of the mainstays of the blue brand.

At the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, Drew McIntyre squared off against Madcap Moss in a singles match. Drew McIntyre defeated Moss with ease. However, later on in the night, Moss and Happy Corbin brutally assaulted McIntyre during a backstage interview segment.

After the horrific assault at the hands of Corbin and Moss, WWE took to Twitter and officially announced the injuries Drew McIntyre suffered. It was said McIntyre suffered a “cervical neck strain with severe contusions.”
