McIntyre is also a very hard worker and that’s why he had the most matches in WWE last year. He was also engaged in a feud with Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss for a while.

The feud culminated in a match between Drew McIntyre and Madcap Moss at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view on January 1st. Drew McIntyre won the match but was then viciously attacked by Corbin and Moss later on.

The company then announced McIntyre suffered injuries, but the actual injuries were not revealed. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Drew McIntyre has been dealing with legitimate neck issues for at least several weeks. That is why he was written off WWE television.

“The word backstage is that the angle was brought about by some legitimate neck issues McIntyre has been dealing with of late (at least several weeks), necessitating him needing to undergo medical testing. So, WWE wrote him out of storylines with the attack to be proactive about the situation.

The severity of Drew McIntyre’s neck issues is not known and a timetable for his return was also not given. We will have to wait and see when The Scottish Warrior will make his return to WWE television.
