WWE has many future stars in NXT, but sometimes injuries are unavoidable. One star is primed and ready to get back to action.

Dante Chen, a WWE NXT Superstar, has been out of action due to a knee injury. Chen has only competed in two WWE matches. On the September 21 NXT 2.0 reboot episode, he defeated Trey Baxter, and on the October 1 episode of WWE 205 Live, he defeated Malik Blade.

Chen vs. Draco Anthony has been announced for this week’s 205 Live edition, but according to the official preview, Chen has been out of action since sustaining a knee injury in September. It’s possible that he sustained the injury during the encounter with Blade, which was taped on September 28.

Chen posted on Facebook in late November that his father had died on November 8th. He had already returned to Orlando when he posted the Facebook post on November 23, having travelled to Singapore to be with his father in his dying days.

Draco will be in his third match with WWE. On the November 12 episode of 205 Live, he lost to NXT Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong, and on the December 3 episode, he lost to Boa.

Sean Tan, a.k.a. Dante Chen, is the first Singaporean to compete in a WWE match. Tan used the stage name “Trexxus” in Singapore before becoming “Dante Chen.” He began wrestling in 2012 and in 2017 won the Southeast Asian Championship of the SPW.
