Kevin Owens remains one of the mainstays of WWE television ever since his debut in NXT back in 2014. He also made a name for himself in the independent circuit before making his way to WWE. He was also one of the rare top Superstars that WWE kept on tour during this recent pandemic situation.

After a lot of speculation of whether Kevin Owens would stay with WWE or not, it was revealed that Owens signed another contract with WWE, which was said to be a multi-year deal. He is now in a fatal four-way match for the WWE Title at Day 1 on January 1st.

WWE had already started their Holiday Tour, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak they had pulled a lot of talents from the events, including Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Owens remained on the tour where he destroyed the company’s decorations.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE had Kevin Owens appear at every live event show till now as they are presumably willing to risk the most with him.

For whatever reason, the decision was made for Kevin Owens to appear on all the shows this week, likely with the idea somebody had to. He seems to be the one they were most willing to risk of those in the two main events

Kevin Owens is booked for a four-way WWE Championship match at the Day 1 PPV on January 1, 2022. He will take on WWE Champion Big E, Bobby Lashley, while Seth Rollins’ status is uncertain. We will have to wait and see who will win the match.
