Lio Rush Furious At Tony Khan After Comments About Big Swole

Big Swole called out AEW’s lack of diversity, saying it was the biggest problem the company has except for structure, and then Tony Khan replied. TK fired back in a manner that caused a lot of controversy and Lio Rush is very upset about things.

Tony Khan said that Big Swole’s contract expire, because she wasn’t good enough. He also brought up a few Black wrestlers who have won matches on AEW television this month.

Jade, Bowens, Caster, Dante, Nyla, Isiah & Marq Quen all won on tv this month. The TBS Title Tournament has been very diverse. I let Swole’s contract expire as I felt her wrestling wasn’t good enough. 

Lio Rush tweeted out with a bit of an angry post. He didn’t let people know specifically what he was upset about at first, but it was very clear the Man of the Hour has something to say.

If nobody says something, then I will. Because this is f*cked up and now I’m pissed.

Then Lio Rush followed that up with another tweet to make it very clear who he was talking about. “Apologize Tony Khan!” Rush tweeted out a few minutes later.

We’ll have to see how this turns out for Lio Rush, but he certainly has a lot to be upset about at this point. This is also a subject that has a lot of fans talking about AEW for all the wrong reasons on New Year’s Eve.
