Impact Wrestling has announced that they’ve sold out their upcoming Hard To Kill event set for January 8th at The Factory in Dallas, Texas. This is huge news considering that Impact has struggled in the war for ratings and attendance overall since the early stages of the pandemic.
The card is an impressive one, and perhaps that can attest for the success of this event, with matches they’ve been building up for weeks. The matches set for the event feature some of the promotion’s top current and returning stars, and the event seems to be promising quite a wee bit in terms of delivery overall.
Just take a look at the Knockouts match planned: The Texas Death Match for the Knockouts Title pitting Deonna Purrazzo and Mickie James. This is a feud that’s been going back and forth for months – very much like old-school wrestling feuds. Other matches include:
The Impact X Division Title Match between Steve Maclin and Trey Miguel. The tension for this one has been building for quite some time, and has quite a bit of attention in recent weeks. Talk about build for a match.
The Knockouts Tag Team Titles Match pitting The Influence’s Madison Rayne and Tenille Dashwood vs. The IInspiration’s Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay.
The Knockouts Ultimate X match featuring: Chelsea Green vs. Lady Frost vs. Tasha Steelz vs. Rosemary vs. Rachael Ellering vs. Impact Digital Media Champion Jordynne Grace. The winner of this match garners for themselves a future title shot.
The Hardcore War featuring: Heath, Rhino, Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann and Willie Mack vs. Violence By Design (Eric Young, Deaner, Joe Doering) and Impact World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson).
Jonah vs. Josh Alexander in quite the grudge match that started when Jonah first premiered on Impact at Turning Point.
The Triple Threat match for the Impact World Title featuring Matt Cardona vs. W. Morrissey vs. Moose. That main event has attracted a lot of eyes for sure. Overall the event should deliver and on all fronts. Looks like Impact will be starting 2022 with quite the bang.
