Toni Storm Flew Herself Home From WWE’s Holiday Tour

Toni Storm is no longer with WWE. She requested her release during a time when it appeared a push was coming around the corner for her. Now we have a little more information to a story that probably has many layers.

Fightful Select reports that Toni Storm did ask for her release from the company and it was granted. Those close to Toni Storm have also confirmed that things are “fine” in regards to something going on.

Those that Fightful spoke to within WWE say that Toni Storm asked for her release from the company. This was later confirmed to me, and we reached out to people close to Toni said that things were fine when we asked about extenuating circumstances, and how she was doing.

Toni Storm flew herself home after last night’s live event where she competed in a triple threat match. The memo sent out about her release did not mention budget cuts as the reason. Most recent releases had “budget cuts” listed as the reason next to their name on the memo.

Those in WWE were also “blindsided” by this news. One source reportedly said that it’s difficult for WWE to say no to a release request at this juncture given all of the budget cutting going on.
