Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio remains a highly controversial figure in the pro wrestling world. He was facing several charges of sexual assault but they were all dropped. It seems he teased a possible appearance in AEW as well.

Despite his problematic actions, Del Rio certainly had a solid career in WWE during his two runs with the company. He is a four-time world champion and two time WWE United States Champion and also a Royal Rumble winner.

While speaking on the UnSKripted podcast, Alberto Del Rio was asked about making his way to AEW. Del Rio said that it is just a matter of time until he goes there and also said that he has spoken to several pro wrestling companies.

“Yes, that is possible. I have spoken to a lot of people and just like I said earlier, I know everybody, they are all talking about it and they saw what happened and they know it was not fair for me, my career and my life so they are all going to be giving me an opportunity. I would say it is just a matter of time for me and them to put something together and decide where we are going to go.”

It was also said that there is zero interest from pro wrestling companies when it comes to hiring him, so it is better to take anything he says with a grain of salt.
