WWE has been teasing the arrival of the mysterious Veer Mahaan for quite some time. Many fans have grown tired of it. The company even recently trolled AEW by tweeting, “Send Veer.“
Week after week of hype has left fans with Veer fatigue. A lot of fans are also wondering how long it will take Vince McMahon to remove his “Mahaan” last name.
The wrestler has been around for a while with WWE. He earned a contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates despite having no baseball experience in 2008. His career washed out by 2016 without ever making it past the low levels of the minor leagues.
In 2018, he signed with WWE. Veer appeared on a few events but never made much noise. The vignettes have been airing ever since, with no sign of Veer ever showing up. Wrestling Twitter got his name trending after yet another tease on this week’s Raw.
“By the time Veer Mahaan shows up on RAW Cesaro will be world champion, Conman will wear a lucha mask and I probably get a girlfriend lol”
“The year is 2076. We have flying cars. We have robot butlers. Humans have begun to live on Mars. Veer Mahaan is coming to #WWERaw”
“WWE said Veer was coming to RAW in 2021 and it’s about to be 2022 and this man still hasn’t arrived.”
Nobody knows why WWE has continued to promote someone they obviously had no plans of bringing in any time soon. It has certainly created a buzz. The backlash might kill Veer Mahaan’s run before it ever starts if this drags out much longer.
Veer Mahaan’s previous life as a pro baseball pitcher with zero experience was also documented in the 2013 Jon Hamm film, Million Dollar Arm. You can check out the trailer for that feel-good Disney sports movie below.
