Roman Reigns is on a roll since his return to the company back at WWE SummerSlam last year. He returned as the Tribal Chief and truly reinvented himself. The change was several years in the making as fans clamored for it for so long.  WWE Day 1 might have to go without a hitch in order for WrestleMania to work out the way they planned.

The Head of the Table has certainly been very dominant as the WWE Universal Champion as he has remained the champion for well over a year now. It is unlikely he will be losing the title anytime soon from the looks of it. He has competed against several top WWE Superstars throughout that time.

As reported earlier, Roman Reigns was pulled from WWE’s Holiday Tour live events in Tampa, Florida. This was before Seth Rollins had also been pulled from the Holiday Tour after testing positive for COVID-19.

Reigns missed another live event after that as well. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Roman Reigns’ angle with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania largely depends on both of them and also Paul Heyman showing up for the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view.

I was essentially told it was very very important for WrestleMania that Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman do not miss this show. So, obviously there’s something big going on there.

We will have to wait and see whether Roman Reigns will be able to make it back in time for WWE Day 1 on January 1st, as a lot is riding on his appearance.
