Original: WWE has several talent and staff currently out of commission after testing positive for COVID-19. The company has now informed their roster that they do not need to worry about testing for the virus anymore.
Fightful Select reports that WWE has informed that stars that weekly testing for COVID is not mandatory. WWE NXT talent previously had to test twice a week for the highly contagious virus.
Several top WWE stars are sidelined from this week’s shows with COVID infections, but WWE is taking measures the opposite way within NXT. Performance Center talent was informed this past weekend that they’re no longer requiring the twice-weekly COVID testing that had previously been mandatory.
It was reported that an email was sent out to inform WWE main roster talent that they do not need to test anymore. It was not reported whether vaccination is a qualifier for this.
Some people within the company were not happy about this ruling from WWE. They reached out to the outlet and expressed their concern over the situation. At this point, several talent and staff are positive for the virus and the fear is that an outbreak might continue.
